Rodents

Rodents will eat and contaminate food, cause structural damage to buildings, and transmit parasites and diseases to other animals and humans. These pests like rats and mice can cause significant and costly property damage, to both the interior and exterior of your home. Rodents will enter your home or office to nest, breed, and find shelter.

They only need a small space to enter through; squeezing through cracks and crevices in the foundation, finding holes around exterior windows and doors, and gaps found around heating and air conditioning units. Chewing through the exterior of your home in order to gain entrance if they can’t find an easy access point.

Inside, the damage from chewing persists as they will chew through wires, pipes, drywall, insulation, flooring, and storage boxes. Rodents can also damage personal items like clothing, and they will help themselves to food stored within your home – contaminating it as they feed. Getting into your garage and shed, can cause damage to your vehicles, lawnmowers, and other wired equipment.

These pests could also bite you or your loved ones. One bite from a rodent can pass strep bacteria as well as spread diseases and parasites to its victim, especially infants and young children. Bacterial contamination from their excrement is a far more common concern than a bite. The diseases rodents can bring into a home or office require preventative measures and exterminating action to be taken.
