5 Family-Friendly Fall Festivities

5 Fun Family-Friendly Activities

Fall is finally here, and all we want to do is celebrate! Our team here at Clark Exterminating has Arkansas roots and we love to experience the beauty and fun of the Natural State during the fall. Whether it’s taking a drive to see the wonderful fall foliage or going to the Arkansas State Fair, we’ve got you covered when it comes to fun this fall. Here are five family-friendly activities to enjoy this fall.

1. Go to the Arkansas State Fair.
Nothing says fall quite like going to the fair! We love tackling all the rides, checking out the rodeo, and eating just about any fried food you can imagine. Whether it’s Kool-Aid, avocado or candy bars, if you dip it in batter and fry it, you’ll probably find it at the Arkansas State Fair. Though the rides and food are fun, you can also see livestock from all over the state and also enjoy live music and exhibits from statewide vendors. This year, the fair begins on October 9 and continues until October 18, check out the full list of events online.

2. Enjoy Arkansas’ fall foliage.
There’s nothing more beautiful than the Natural State. Our Clark family might be a little biased, but how do you make the most beautiful state in America more beautiful? Add fall colors. Reds, oranges, and yellows spill over the trees in Arkansas during this wonderful season. The state’s website posts a fall foliage update to let visitors know when and where to see the brilliant colors of fall.

3. Take a hike!
No matter what part of the state you’re living in, a hiking trail at an Arkansas State Park isn’t too far away. With beautiful weather, beautiful scenery and some wonderful company, you couldn’t ask for a more perfect weekend afternoon! Arkansas State Parks make for a wonderful (and beautiful!) way to get exercise, too. The State Parks of Arkansas has a feature on their website that allows you to filter out your hiking destination based on your hiking skill level.4. Go to a Razorback game.
What’s more fun than calling the Hogs and seeing a win? Arkansans love attending home games at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville. The drive to Fayetteville is gorgeous this time of year. Kids and adults alike love the atmosphere of a Razorback football game at home. Wear your red, get your Hog call perfected and make your trip to The Hill for a game this fall!
5. Visit a pumpkin patch.
You can’t get more “fall” than a pumpkin patch. Arkansas has plenty of options when it comes to pumpkin patches. Lots of Arkansas pumpkin patches have other activities that aren’t limited to picking out a pumpkin. Whether it’s a corn maze, petting zoo, or hayride, you’ll find plenty to do!

At Clark Exterminating, we may specialize in getting pests out of your house, but we still know how to enjoy that perfect fall weather in Arkansas. If bugs are making your fall not as wonderful as it should be, stop by or give us a call at any of these central Arkansas locations:
